Live Healthy.

“If you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything.” – Chuck Pagano

Coach Pagano nailed it. There is nothing more valuable than your health. The pursuit of wealth is a healthy one. It impacts your health and welfare, and that of your family, yet all the money in the world cannot replace good health. Physical health, mental health, spiritual health. When we hold health and wealth in the same thought, we intuitively know that one is important, but the other is critical. Wealth is not an end; it’s a means to an end, which is our families’ health and welfare.

Choose Wisely.

“It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.” –J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

It’s become far too easy to get caught up in our techno world where messages and images attack us relentlessly and at a blistering speed. We are human, and get caught up in the randomness and spontaneity of it all, so as the seduction pursues us, we make poor decisions. You’re not alone. We’ve all done it. Yet, we know the importance of planning our futures, mapping out the things we will need and when we will need them, and that the choices we make today will impact all of our tomorrows. So why don’t more people make the wise choice and plan ahead?

Move Forward.

“And when you fall throughout life, fall forward.” –Denzel Washington

There is no looking back. You can’t do anything about the past except remember it. Certainly we should take the time to remember the happy times with family and friends, the good people that helped us along the way, the things we did of which we are the most proud.

But when it comes to the poor decisions we’ve made in the past, we tend to beat ourselves up and linger on our failings.

When it comes to failures, it’s unlikely that any of us have had a worse track record than Thomas Edison, Abraham Lincoln or Chris Gardener.

When it comes to family wealth preservation, learn from your past investing mistakes, and put them in the rear view mirror. The only day that matters is today, and how we use it to make better tomorrows.

Live Healthy. Choose Wisely. Move Forward.
