Joseph Grieco, CFP®

My name is Joe Grieco.

I’m a native of the Steel City, Pittsburgh PA, and since 1983 I’ve been dedicated to helping families make smart choices with their money. (That’s me in the photo with my grandson in matching shirts. I’m the taller one.)

WealthKeep’s mission is to help our private clients achieve Investor Self-sufficiency.

As a private investor, you deserve a fair shake and client-centered objectivity from your financial professionals who have sometimes placed their interests ahead of yours. As a 36 year veteran Certified Financial Planner and Certified Coach, my work has been built on a simple organizing principle: Critical life-decisions are rooted in the love of family, the desire for optimum health, and the money necessary to support the first two.

I’ve learned that everybody has a “money story,” but too many of them have unhappy endings. Coaching private clients to achieve their authentic life goals means encouraging them to make healthy, wise choices, and helping them move forward to something better.

I help my clients eliminate behaviors that have prevented them from making better choices with their money, and I help them develop practical investing skills to become self-sufficient investors and withstand unkind markets. Making more money isn’t an end. It the means to reaching critical family goals.

I’m proud to maintain an impeccable reputation and a spotless regulatory compliance record that shows I’ve always held fair, ethical treatment and conflict-free relationships as my personal standard. I welcome the opportunity to know about you and help you write your best money story. There are no obligations, no hard sell and never any surprises, so please feel welcome to reach out to me here at WealthKeep.org or email wealthkeep@hotmail.com. You’ll also find me in these places:

Professional Credentials

I earned my Certified Financial Planner® professional designation in 1987 through The College for Financial Planning, Denver, Colorado, and later served on their adjunct faculty.

In 2011 I became a Certified Coach, having completed all Approved Coach-Specific Training Hours through Coach Training Alliance, member of the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Professional Licensing

From 1983 to 2019, I was licensed with Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), satisfying all FINRA registration and education requirements as a Registered Representative and Supervisory Principal. (Series 7, 24, 63). While I may reactivate my registrations with a broker-dealer anytime before May 2021, I’ve chosen to let them expire as I focus only on wealth coaching and advisory. In addition, I have satisfied all Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s registration, education and professional credential requirements to serve as an Investment Advisor Representative, FINRA Series 65 and CFP®, which remain current.

Private Client Experience

I’ve coached and advised private client relationships exceeding $400 Million total portfolio assets, and $1.25 Billion in estate assets.

I’ve taught people how to invest, teaching the fundamentals of personal wealth management at the Community College of Allegheny County and the University of Pittsburgh. New CCAC classes scheduled to begin Winter 2020!

I’ve written about how to invest. A few of my published articles, “All bubbles are bound to burst…,” appeared in The Pittsburgh Business Times, and “Solid Strategies for Generating Tax Alpha,” appeared in the Pennsylvania CPA Journal.

Well, enough about me! I welcome the opportunity to know more about you, and help you solve some of your most pressing money problems. I promise there are no obligations and never any surprises!
